Snowball AR is a research project that tries to provide haptic feedback for AR users with Electrical Muscle Stimulation (EMS).
When the AR users are hit by the snowball, the EMS contracts the users’ muscles, which is the same situation when being hit in the real world. Thus, they will feel the force feedback instead. In addition, when players shoot the snowball by themselves, they also feel different recoil based on what kind of equipment they use in the game ( Normal, Cannon, and Machine Gun).
We also created a breakout clone game for another demo.
